The sun is here! (Or has it now gone?) And Rooney et al are about to settle the Euro debate once and for all. We’re doing our bit to cheer them along – nothing says ‘Come on you England!’ like free corkage (on wine and beer).
But first, our first love – food … !
With sun (even sporadic bursts of it) comes new produce and we’ve made some pretty dramatic changes to our menu to make the most of it. Burrata, Heritage Tomatoes & Avocado (the burrata, handmade in a tiny dairy in Puglia, tastes amazing!) and a really light and refreshing Pea & Mint Salad with Yoghurt Dressing join Wye Valley Asparagus, Rocket & Parmesan in a now vegetable-heavy Starter section. While Mains sees the arrival of Salt Marsh Lamb T-Bones with Jerseys, Peas & Mint, Hake with Saffron White Beans & Roasted Tomatoes, Warm Vegetable Salad with Cotherstone and the not-so-uber-seasonal-but-so-delicious-we-had-to-get-it-straight-on Jerked Middle White Pork Ribeye with Apple Slaw.
